Vial Inspection system is a product for any manufacturing unit which produces glass vials. It is a scalable system implementation for multiple lines based manufacturing units. It provides low cost inspection solution for a variety of vials. The system uses a backlight and CCD cameras with optical zooming for imaging. The entire set of image processing algorithms were developed in-house catering to the special needs of glass vials. The system calculates following parameters for each vial inspected

• Internal Diameter of mouth
• Outer Diameter of mouth
• Outer Diameter of thread (for Screw Vials)

• Cosmetic defects (Chips etc.)
• Foreign bodies inside the vial
